The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Rabat has announced new measures aimed at facilitating the entry of Moroccan citizens into Egypt without the need for a prior visa.
According to the official statement, the decision applies to Moroccans holding valid residence permits or previously used visas from Schengen countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom. These travelers can now obtain a visa upon arrival at Egyptian ports and airports.
The facilitation also extends to Moroccan citizens residing in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, provided that they hold valid residence and return permits, allowing them to enter Egypt directly from points of arrival without a pre-issued visa.
Furthermore, this step reflects the deep and solid brotherly ties between the Egyptian and Moroccan peoples, and reinforces the ongoing cooperation and friendship between the two nations. It will also help facilitate travel for Moroccans seeking medical treatment or care in Egyptian hospitals and private clinics, as well as ease family visits in cases of mixed marriages, and support businesspeople and investors involved in joint ventures between the two countries.
Through this initiative, Egypt reaffirms its warm and continuous welcome to Moroccans in their second homeland, Egypt.
