This gradual decline from the level of “red danger” to the level of “orange danger” is reflected in the decrease in the number of deaths and daily infections with the emerging “Corona” virus; This made Morocco witness a declining phase of the epidemic wave associated with the “delta” mutator.
The health authorities watching over the epidemiological situation in Morocco hope that critical cases coming to the resuscitation and intensive care departments will continue to decline, on the horizon of descending to the “green level” regarding the spread of the coronavirus in the regions.
Commenting on the current epidemiological situation, Tayeb Hicidi, a doctor researching in health policies and systems, said that “Morocco was recording about 12,000 daily cases of the Covid-19 virus, in the midst of the spread of the third wave of the epidemic; But the current epidemiological situation has decreased significantly, compared to previous periods.”
Acidic added, in a statement to Hespress electronic newspaper, that “the filling rate of the recovery departments used to reach fifty percent, while currently it does not exceed only a quarter; While the daily positive laboratory tests previously amounted to about 25 percent, but they do not currently exceed 10 percent. Thus, the reproduction rate has fallen to less than 1 per cent four weeks ago.”
The researcher in health policies and systems stressed that “Morocco has emerged from the peak of the epidemic, and is close to ending the third wave of the Covid-19 virus, with a relative disparity between the regions of the Kingdom,” noting that “the epidemiological situation is excellent; Because it is improving day by day, in light of the vaccination of 60 percent of Moroccans who received the first injection of vaccines, and 50 percent who received the second injection.
Thus, Morocco is moving steadily to control the epidemiological situation, according to the same expert, who stated that “the positive improvement in the epidemiological situation does not mean the removal of the precautionary measures in place, because many countries rushed to ease the closure measures, and the result was negative despite the vaccination of more than half citizens.”
Regarding the possibility of gradual easing of the soil measures taken at the level of villages and metropolitan areas, acidi stated that “the rate of pollination allows this; Because most of the adults who form the backbone of social life in Morocco are fully vaccinated, which may allow the opening of some public places to groups that hold the vaccination permit.”
