The dirt community of Agadir received a high-level American delegation led by Mr. “Ron Busby”, President of the American Chambers of Commerce “US Black Chambers”, a non-profit organization, founded in 2009, with its headquarters in Washington, DC.
This visit comes within the framework of the preparation of the celebration of the city of Agadir as guest of honor within the framework of the activities of “Morocco Day 2023” in the American capital, Washington. investment opportunities that the city and region abound in.
The two-day visit also included meetings between the members of the delegation and a number of elected officials and economic actors in the region, during which information and ideas were exchanged on the economic and human qualities of the city, as well as the prospects for joint cooperation. between Morocco and the United States of America in various fields.
During the activities of this visit, a ceremony was organized to deliver the official invitation to Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, head of the land community of Agadir, after the city of Agadir was announced as the guest of honor of the international event “Morocco Day”. at its eighth session.
This invitation was delivered by the head of the American delegation, the head of the Moroccan American Network, and the CEO of “Morocco Day” Muhammad Hajjam, in the presence of Adib Seleki, CEO of the Morocco Day event in Washington, who is considered one of the economic events to have received official recognition from the mayor of Washington, where it became the fifth. July 10 each year is the occasion for the official celebration of decades-old Moroccan-American relations.
On this occasion, the President of the American Chambers of Commerce USBC praised the efforts of the Wali of the region, the President of the Collective Council of Agadir and the President of the Council of the Souss-Massa Region, in the implementation of the vision of His Majesty the King for the overall development of this region.
Note that the city of Agadir will be Washington’s guest of honor for a whole month next year, where the city will be promoted in terms of tourism, culture and economy.
At the end of the activities of this visit, the American delegation expressed its admiration for the level of infrastructure and projects that were reviewed, while welcoming the dynamism of the management team of the land community of Agadir, and also announced its willingness to build a bridge of communication between the two parties on the horizon of creating partnerships in many areas of development.
