The regional tourism development company of Agadir Souss-Massa (SDR) is looking for a firm to carry out technical studies for the development of the city’s animal and leisure park. A call for tenders has been launched for this purpose. The objective of the project is to enhance and promote the new potential of the region as well as its tourist dimensions for Moroccan and foreign customers, indicates a press release from the Company.
Located 7 km from the city of Agadir, the park will be built on an area of 132 ha. It is reserved for outdoor recreational activities and will bring together twelve leisure and entertainment clubs and a central garden.
More specifically, the structure will be divided into four zones with different vocations: the animal animation zone for leisure and entertainment purposes, the educational farm zone for educational purposes, the extreme sports zone, as well as the Central garden which will be a place of relaxation and walk. Remember that Agadir will also have a lion park with a total area of 20 ha.
The Safari Park which should, according to the first forecasts, open its doors at the end of the year will welcome three species of lions: the African lion, the Berber and the white.
