Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, President of the Communal Council of Agadir, made a field visit on Tuesday, December 14, accompanied by the Wali of the region Mr. Ahmed Hajji and the
President of the Souss Massa Regional Council, Mr. Karim Achengli, to follow very closely the progress of the work of the major urban development projects in the city of Agadir. .
This morning, the President of the Communal Council attended the presentation of the “Dania Land” attraction project and examined the first cabins of the cable car that will link the Tildi bridge to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella. Then a meeting was held in the Wilaya room to follow the progress of the development of the east-west bar and the tourist area, presented in detail by the architects in charge of these projects.
In the Talborjt district, Aziz Akhannouch, visited the rehabilitation site of the Sahara Cinema, an emblematic building of Talborjt, which is currently undergoing a total technical upgrade and architectural enhancement as part of the projects of the cultural component of the Urban Development (PDU) 2020-2024.
In the same district, the President followed the progress of the upgrading works of the Talborjt market and which aim at the relifting of this commercial area for the socio-economic revitalization of the district. Then, he stopped at the city of the arts project, a building long awaited by the Gadiris and which will breathe new life into the regional cultural landscape.
In addition, the President inaugurated the indoor sports hall Zarktouni by distributing sports equipment in the disciplines of football and basketball for the benefit of young people with specific needs. He also paid tribute, at the same time, to some Gadiris sports figures who represent Morocco on an international scale.
Finally, the official delegation visited under-equipped neighborhoods in the Tikiouine area to take a closer look at the progress of infrastructure rehabilitation work in this locality.
